Bacon  Lardons

Let's Make

"Perfect on top of salads and cheesy pastas for my family!" ~ Mirline

Lardons can  be made from thick-sliced bacon or slab bacon.

1. Cut thick-sliced bacon in strips that are about 1/4 inch thick by the width of the bacon.

If using slab bacon, you can cut the lardons a little thicker - about 1/3 inch by 1 to 1 1/4 inches.

2. Arrange the lardons in a cold skillet and turn the heat to medium-low.

3. Cook until lardons are golden brown on the outside, but still flexible.

4. Spread out on paper towels to drain excess grease.

5. Serve and Enjoy!

Lardons are delicious on pasta, salads,  baked potatoes, pizza, risotto, and more!
