Carrots Bacon Recipe!

"This combination of carrots with bacon and maple syrup is genius!"

- 6 large carrots - 12 ounces bacon - 2 tablespoons  maple syrup - 1 teaspoon salt - 1/2 teaspoon pepper - 1 teaspoon  chopped oregano


1. Peel and cut the carrots into sticks. You can vary the length from about 1.5 to 3 inches.


2. Cut the bacon strips into squares, which will contrast nicely with the stick-shaped carrots.

3. Cook the bacon pieces in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain on paper towels.

4. Drain excess grease, add carrots  to the pan and cook stirring frequently, for 3 minutes. Add maple syrup and cooked bacon.

5. Cook, stirring frequently, until carrots are tender. Season with salt and pepper.

6. Transfer to a serving dish and sprinkle with chopped fresh oregano and a pinch of salt.

7. Serve and Enjoy!
